Today I saw Breaking Dawn, the fourth in the Twilight installment. As I was watching it, I felt like it weirdly related to me. Edward is all worried about hurting Bella with his superior strength. He bruises her when he has sex with her and feels terrible about it. Unfortunately for him, he also impregnates her with a baby that tries to kill her (not on purpose). Basically, though, the whole issue of vampire strength being too strong for fragile woman person is kind of similar to husband's penetration of me being too painful. I mean, it's obviously not exactly the same but it's kind of similar.
So this probably explains why I am a sucker for these vampire movies. I am fragile woman person and my husband is possibly-pain-inducing vampire man. And I'm attracted to how these fragile women nevertheless manage to become survivors. (And of course how they love their men). I guess I think the relationship between physical fragility and inner strength is interesting.

Wow. If you're not in counseling, please do so promptly. You are not fragile and your husband cannot hurt you, and it's sad that you dosed yourself on some pop culture propaganda that reinforces this destructive feeling. If you have any desire to ever have children and have a happy marriage going forward, you need to deal with and resolve these feelings.
Your claims that your issues are not emotional or psychological are belied in this post. It's right here in black and white. Confront it before it does any more damage to you and your husband.
Interesting post. I haven't followed the Twilight saga but I'm curious about this.
Wow anon#1... judgmental much? Her husband does physically hurt her, even if it's unintentional, and she has mentioned that some of her issues have emotional/psychological components. It's not just either/or.
I do agree that counselling might be in order, though, if you haven't gone already. Sometimes airing things out with a compassionate 3rd party makes a world of difference.
The movie's still drivel, though. But I enjoyed it! ;)
I agree with Anonymous 1:10.
How are you? Praying for you.
